TDT is a registered, women-led grant-making charity organization based in Tamale, Ghana. We work to support impactful community development with a strong focus on women and children.
TDT was incorporated in December 2022 and began full operations in July 2023. Our registration number is CG082201122, and our TIN is C0062358596.
TDT is governed by a six-member all-women Board of Directors, comprising professionals in finance, development, insurance, and HR, along with a youth representative. A female Coordinator leads the day-to-day operations.
We mobilize resources through:

- Staff Philanthropy Fund
- Crowdfunding via WhatsApp and direct engagement

No, monies donated to Tamale Development Trust are not refundable.
Donations are distributed into three designated accounts:
- Operations Account – 10% of unrestricted donations
- Programmes Account – 70% (or 90% for restricted donations)
- Endowment Account – 20% of unrestricted donations for long-term sustainability
It is a dedicated fund supporting cancer prevention, care, and treatment (breast, cervical, prostate, and child cancers) in partnership with the Oncology Department of Tamale Teaching Hospital.
No, you can’t benefit from the funds.
This fund provides micro-grants to individuals—especially women—with business ideas but limited capital. It aims to reduce poverty and promote financial independence.
