Community Endowment Fund
At Tamale Development Trust (TDT), we are committed to long-term sustainability through the establishment of our Community Endowment Fund (CEF). The CEF is an unrestricted fund that is built on a collective community endowment building pooled fund approach. This fund serves as a financial backbone that ensures continuity, stability, and the ability to respond to emerging needs within our community now and in the future. This flexible fund enables the board of trustees to prioritize and decide on funding community needs that require urgent attention.
The Community Endowment Fund is grown through incremental endowment building approach. A portion of all unrestricted donations—20% is allocated to the Endowment Fund to support incremental growth. This strategic approach enables us to build long term funds invested productively and generating income to fund future projects and operational costs. Individuals, Families, Clubs and societies and Corporate organizations are encouraged to make generous donations into the community Endowment Fund.
By growing the Endowment Fund, we strengthen TDT’s ability to plan, act, and lead with confidence, securing our mission of empowering women, uplifting communities, and fostering inclusive development in Tamale for generations to come.
Individuals, Families, Clubs and societies and Corporate organizations can also set up their own Endowment or designated Donor Advice Funds (DAF).
Tamale Cancer Fund
Recognizing cancer as a growing health concern, we established the Tamale Cancer Fund to support prevention, diagnosis, and care initiatives for breast, cervical, prostate, and childhood cancers. This fund will be formally launched in collaboration with the Oncology Department of Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Tamale Resilient Fund
TRF is a special-purpose vehicle functioning as a subsidiary of TDT to support the working capital needs of economically needy individuals, especially women, who are committed to rebuilding their lives through running a micro-enterprise as an income-generating activity within the operational area of TDT. The Resilient Fund supports aspiring micro-entrepreneurs, particularly women, by providing seed capital for small business startups.
